Easy Pecan Pie Recipe from the John Daly BBQ Kitchen

Nothing quite satisfies the end of Christmas dinner like a slice of freshly made pecan pie.

Contrary to popular opinion, great bbq isn’t the only thing we cook up. While John would love to be in the pie business, barbeque keeps us plenty busy. So, in the Christmas tradition, here’s a gift for your recipe box: John Daly’s Easy Pecan Pie. Happy Holidays!

John Daly’s Easy Pecan Pie

3 ea Eggs, slightly beaten
1 c Karo corn syrup
1 c Sugar
2 tbs Margarine, melted
1 tsp Amaretto
1 1/2 c Pecan halves
1 ea 9″ unbaked pie shell

In a large bowl, stir first 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in
pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake in 350 degree oven 50 to 55 minutes or
until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool.

Operation Blue Balls Fundraiser Standing Room Only

Dan Christy, John Daly BBQ CEO, reports that Operation Blue Balls turned into a standing room only night.

If you were one of the fortunate people to actually get in the door, you were lucky. 98.1 FM’s Drake and Zeke stayed on an extra hour signing blue Christmas ornaments to accomodate the overwhelming crowd.

John Daly attempted to call in to the event, but due to technological circumstances, was not able to join the festivities.

Nonetheless, Operation Blue Balls III looks to be the biggest yet in the fundraiser’s three year history.

For those of you in the Memphis area tonight, 98.1 the Max’s morning team, Drake and Zeke, make an appearance at John Daly’s Restaurant and Bar to raise funds for Operation Blue Balls III.

What is Operation Blue Balls you ask?

The project helps fund Project Package, a non-profit, volunteer organization which sends monthly care packages to local mid-south service members.

The event, sponsored by John Daly BBQ, Overton Brothers Mechanical, and LTD Plumbing & Mechanical promises to bring plenty of holiday cheer to everyone who attends.

No confirmations, but rumors abound that the Lion may make an appearance and devour some John Daly BBQ ribs.
